Description:

Following the sudden death of his parents, seventeen-year-old Wen Hai is left in the care of his wealthy half-brother, Gu Huaizhou, whom he has never met. Initially indifferent and tormented, Wen Hai feigns obedience but harbors resentment. Meanwhile, Gu Leng attempts to manipulate him, and Wen Hai becomes attached to his debtor, Jiang Nan, who eventually falls in love with him and tragically commits suicide. The relationship between Wen Hai and Gu Huaizhou evolves from antipathy to attraction, but familial ties and betrayal drive them apart, culminating in a breakup when Gu Leng intervenes drastically.
